Lower Grill Replacement Idea (feeler)
I know I am extremely new to this site, but I have long been into modifying cars in the sport compact world. And especially a car thats not a trend car (civic, 240, integra, etc.). I have a Modified Focus as some of you have seen. My fiance and brother both own Yari and are both on this forum. For my focus I made an all steal replacement lower grill for the car. My lower grill factory was like the earlier models were. the basically bumper supports running across the opening, painted body color. not so attractive.
And as I have seen alot of people prefer to keep the stock bumper, and put a nice looking lip on the car, which to me looks great. But the lowre girll area just seems to lack. Here are some pictures of the lower grill that I had made for my focus. All on the car, and some painted, some not. Pardon the look of the car, I had only had it a few months, and there were still no mods out for the front of that model focus yet. But as you can see, its all steal, well built, fits darn near perfect, and after painted, looks factory. I am wanting to make something like this for my brothers car, and maybe my fiances car (07, and 09) and seeing if there is any interest in possibly doing the same for the Yari, that I did for the Foci. Mods, if this is breaking any kind of rules, please let me know so i can fix what needs fixing. I am not trying to sell any parts, or take promise for money, just getting an idea if its worth my time or not to make a jig, or templet to make more of these. |

I would buy one, but I have a suspicion that my car is going to be the guinea pig for the 06/07 LB models ;)
edit: as an aside, it's weird to see your car looking like that. |

I'm interested depending on the price. Also it would be awesome if you could make a recessed grill like the micro image upper grill.

its something that could be worked on, depending on how well the lower grill part goes.

I'm down for one but I'd like it to match the mesh on this upper grill.
Yaris Sedan Upper Mesh Grill I can't find a lower one anywhere, put me down for one! |
