Worth it to get a new clutch..?

'07 2-door hatch, 5sp, 195k.
Clutch is slipping after (yes, stupidly..) helping a neighbor pull his stuck car out of a snowbank. Should've said 'no', but I didn't- stopped the second I smelled it burning. Anyway. Driveable if I baby it and don't try to accelerate too fast. Car is pretty long-in-the-tooth, but still runs about as well as it ever has. Local mech's over-the-phone-estimate for putting in a new clutch is $1000-1600... Trying to decide if it's worth it...
