What's the TOTAL cost of buying/installing TRD shocks/springs at dealer?

Couldn't find any info on this specific question.

Seeing as how most Toyota dealers will charge the same for the parts and labor, what did you guys (that have done this) pay for the whole deal?

And if you could, separate the parts/labor costs.

Thanks!!!

$419 TRD Shocks + Struts
$179 TRD Lowering springs

= $598 + tax + probably $300 to install at the stealership?

Why not just call your dealer?

It's 10:30 at night, they're closed. j/k

I knew I could get a better and quicker answer here plus I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. A want to get 17's and get my sedan lowered maybe next month.

Thanks for the info!

I chose to buy the job specific tools and save hundreds by doing the install myself.
Why overpay someone who couldn't give a rats-ass about your pride and joy.

Besides, I've never gotten a vehicle back from a stealership without the job being botched or having some new, totally unrelated problem crop up within days. Fluke or conspiracy...whichever, I'm through paying through the nose in my time and cash.

I was quoted $600 for the installation alone. I promptly made my way to Sears and bought the necessary tools for $120 and did it all myself. Plus I got some tools out of it :P

Thanks for the info guys.

I'll probably end up buying the parts online (certainly not directly from the stealership).

As for the install, I'll probably end up bringing it to a general shop that does suspension and should cost less than the dealer.

I just don't feel like doing it myself.

Labour performed outside a Toyota dealership does not void any warranty.

FYI regarding TRD parts and factory vehicle warranty.
If TRD parts are bought at and installed by a Toyota stealership the TRD parts become part of the vehicles warranty (whatever term you have) which does add some value albeit the labour will be pricey. However if the parts fail the labour to replace them may be covered as well.
If installed elsewhere the TRD parts have a one year warranty. No labour covered.
