Random search FtW! (Ogura compressor)

I just did a random search for the OEM equivalent of the Blitz compressor and found an eBay listing with the bare compressor and--wait for it--a 6-rib clutch pulley that fits the Blitz's splines!

"But Cranky," you ask, "why should we care about that?"

Good question. My future build for the Yaris will include a 2ZR swap--which just happens to use a 6-rib belt. I'm going to have to make a new intake system for it, but that doesn't really worry me as I have access to lots of fabrication equipment and a few skilled welders.

Muahahahaha.

Sorry Crank, I didn't mean it. I just found out my Yaris-modding budget has been drastically reduced.

Hmm. You better buy that before I beat you to it. I really like the idea of a SC which doesn't have the big old snout and which has a round input and output.

Oh, I immediately pulled the trigger. Ka-pew!

I'm not sure I follow what you mean by "round input and output"...

I just realized I was looking at a different one than what you bought.

I would gladly peruse any cool documentation you make for this project, if you intend to share any.

There's a pretty good variety of small compressors. Care to share the link?

It's not going to be any time this year, but I will definitely share progress updates.

This is the one I was looking at. Do you still have sets of the Blitz gaskets on hand?

That's a strange one indeed. I think I'm fresh out of spares, but I have access to the university shop again, so I could probably cut another batch soon. How many sets do you need?

Yeah, that's the idea. Too bad they don't make that kit available aftermarket.

This is cool. Looks like if you didn't run A/C you could mount the compressor down there and intercool it.
