What IS this?!
While getting to know more about Yaris wiring, I noticed something I never noticed before. It's located just to the right of the hood opener. It looks like an aftermarket part, bolted on, literally screwed into the console. Wires go underneath and into the harness. I would guess it's a speaker or siren or microphone.

Definitely not OEM. Follow the wires and see what it goes to. It is most likely some part of an alarm system.
