Stock 6 Disc Mp3 Player is slow?
I was wondering if anyone else notices this also?
It takes forever to load and longer to find a song. I currently use Nero to burn my mp3 discs if that makes a difference. |

The optical laser is not the best on this deck, so yes, the loading/response time can be slow.
It is also affected by other factors, such as the media you are burning your music on, the number of files/directories on the compilation, and of course, the strength of the optical laser on your CD-RW or DVD-RW. For me it takes up to a minute to load a disc, and about 5-10 seconds when switching between tracks. Seeking within a song is pretty pointless because it's slower than letting the song run in real time...

Yes i found that the mp3 player is VERY slow too...comparing to my brother's ECHO HB same it took about 2 secs to load a mp3 CD on the his and took quite a while 8-10 secs to load on my yaris....and...
i also noticed that when playing mp3 format CD, if you happen to turn off the car and turn back on the CD player would reload the song from the begining, while my bro's echo hb can just continue from where it left off. |
