Integrated HU MP3 playback question
I know you can cycle the album name, artist name, song title, etc by pressing the "text" button", but is there any way to make the text scroll if it is longer than the HU's display? A little arrow shows up under the title when that is the case, but I can find no way of scrolling it

Same question here. Many of my MP3s have titles longer than the display and the titles never scroll.

When you see the arrow hold down the "TEXT" button for a few seconds.
It will display one more screen width of text for about 5 seconds. |

Gotta try that... will it auto scroll or do you have to do that every time? |

I have a 07 Yaris RS deck in the Echo (6 CD/MP3 changer) and this is a very great sounding headunit, but the features for the MP3 playback are very basic. That's true!
There's another annoying thing when playing MP3 CD... if you put the "Random" mode and you want to skip the playing song, it doesn't do random! The only way to get a random song is to wait for the current song to finish to play, then the HU will play another song randomly by itself.....

Yeah the 6CD MP3 changer for the RS is not bad..
I took it out and installed it in my gf's Celica, plug and play without any harness because it's all Toyota. Sounds better in her car because she has tweeters (factory OEM) and better coaxials..

to get it to skip to a random song, you could rewind to the start of the song that is on, then rewind 2 seconds into the previous song, and just let that one end :) yeah, i had some frustrating times playing MP3 CDs in the stock deck :) |
