Switch on the clutch pedal
I have owned a few standards in the past but none have needed as much force to start the car(2007 HB)I really need to push the clutch right into the floor in order to enable the ignition switch.Just wondering if anyone else has found this to be an issue.I will take a look under the dash to locate the switch on the weekend to see if I can somehow adjust it.

The switch on my echo got water in it and froze and the car wouldn't start!
Repace the switch or short the wires together in it so you don't have to depress the clutch.
