Aquapel glass treatment?
Anybody here ever used this stuff? The dealerships in town will do the treatment for $29.99. Ridiculous price now that I've looked it up on the web! Is it any good or just a extra way to lose money?

Why not use RainX.
I'm sure that RainX does the same thing and it does last a long time.

I get a light "sheen" over the upper half of my window though after the wiper blades go over it, which eventually fades away. Im not sure what I did w/ the Rain-X that caused this. Anyone else experience this? Its like a subtle fog I guess... |

I think in the end, I'm (we're) still ahead of the game. That bit of fogging (near the top of my windshield) doesnt really inhibit my ability to see out the window, and the benefit of the water breezing off my windshield bc of the Rain-X more than compensates for that effect, I think. |

rainX worked for my car as well- it somewhat let's the water slide off the windshield at higher speeds easier, but more importantly (and more impressive imo), it helps the wipers a lot- even during those annoying light mists/drizzles where you would just expect nothing but smears and streaks if you used the wiper. my gf even commented on how my "wipers work so well!" lol.

Rain-X is good stuff. It works the same as car wax. Puts a wax coat on the window. If its fogging then you may have left it on to long or didn't wipe all the excess off.

Invisible glass is the way to go... I used it a week ago (borrowed it from a friend to test it out) and it was pretty amazing. Lives up to the name.

Check this guy's notes out - it is long but very interesting. Sounds like a chemist. Makes some points about Rain-X and the need to repply. Also deals with the issue of fogging. He gives you chemical breakdown of the more popular glass treament & cleaning products. |

Has anybody tried this stuff made by Nanofilm: Clarity® Defender Automotive Glass Treatment? Some say it's better than Rain-X because it doesn't have to be reapplied as often.

I use Invisible glass on my car and around the house (e.g. windows mirrors) but I also suggest I use it on the paint until its used up(black) and then decommissioned to the windows. it gets alot of grit off the windows you can only see under certain conditions. You can tell when your washing your car and the water 'sticks' to the window where the wiper doesn't swipe. (Rain-X and the such also help the window resist collecting this grit since it acts like a wax protectant)
