well i see that the suv's have slightly fatter side markers then the normal cars.. so im going to go to the dealer and take mine out and size them... im going to measure the hole opening aswell and bring a ruler with me to the dealer so i can see if there will be a gap

Easier idea... pop out one of your side markers, hold a piece of paper on the side of your car, and trace the outline of the hole. It'll be easy to see if the BMW marker will cover it then.

I got my set in the mail today (thanks Garm! ) and they are 'plug and play' but the other end of the harness has to be plugged in to a certain polarity so if they don't work just unplug 'em and swap the plug around to reverse what you had the first time!

Now, I could still use a little help. These new side markers are a bit loose on my car. The original ones were a tad loose; but these are much looser, almost to the point where you can pull them off the car quite easily. So, I was wondering if 1) anyone else had this problem, and 2) if they did, what did they go to fix it?

OK, no advice then, huh? I was wondering if some silicon adhesive or sealant would be the way to go...thoughts?

By the way, I went outside now that is dark and this is when the side markers that Garm sells really shine! They are much brighter and noticeable than the stockers, and a heckuva look cooler looking! The blend in much better on my black hatchback, I'll take some pics over the weekend to show everyone.

This is a great mod, easy to do and not too expensive!

Cheers! M2

Just paint the stock ones with TAMIYA PS-31 SMOKE great results and very easy, still shine super bright at night and day had them on for two years and they look like they were done yesterday.

madmax, I would use a spot of silicone to get those to not move around.

kou, those look pretty good!

I did the same thing as kou with a set of flush motorcycle turn signals, except using orange paint (the bike is orange where they are), also Tamiya. I will see if I can find the instructions but it is pretty easy. It is pretty much remove the marker lights (easily done), cut some cardboard so only the outside is exposed (make the holes like the ones in your fender), and put on numerous light coats letting dry for about 10-15 minutes between each. Continue to do so until you reach the desired color.

Garm, thanks for the tip on silicon, I will get some today. The marker lights you sold me look excellent!

Cheers! M2

Hi

In Europe the side markers are clear on the Toyota Yaris. If anybody need a pair I can buy them for you and ship them.

Regards Steven.

Steven

The side markers in the US are clear as well, they are the same ones I saw in Germany, Austria and the UK; which is why folks here are painting or replacing them...

But it was very nice of you to offer!

Cheers! M2
