I did a very low buck cold air intake, as per this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOt8sKu90Po Seems to have improved power and mpg very slightly. I picked up a 2AZ throttle body part# 22030-0H030 from a Camry to put on my 1NZ, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The 2AZ throttle body has an easy to access idle screw, whereas the 1ZZ throttle body has the idle screw under factory epoxy that can be very difficult to deal with. I intend to duplicate the position of the 1NZ butterfly idle setting on the new 2AZ throttle body using an OBD II reader. From what I'm reading, doing this should eliminate the high idle on startup issues. Last edited by red_egg; 11-01-2022 at 01:11 AM. Reason: add info |
