a couple cool vios/yaris sedan race pics
Hey guys lets make a thread of the cars out there that are or look like theyre simply made to go fast at the track. The whole package, splitters, wings, roll cages, whatever. These arent requirements if you have a nice one you want to post though.
The pic doesnt have to be of your car, but if youre car is in time attack trim, definitely post it Id love to see 3 door, 5 door and especially sedans! If anyone has a pic of a sedan that was truely made to perform, show it! Ill start with some i have found http://www.toyota.co.th/upload/news/img/Vios%201.JPG http://www.toyota.co.th/upload/news/img/Vios%202.JPG enjoy Last edited by AdeJong 03; 08-19-2009 at 01:01 AM. So are you saying that I shouldn't go with a full bodykit?
These types of car have been inspiring me for the past 6 months in terms of how I want the car to look and also how I should set up for Auto-X/Time Attack. I've been having convos on setup and such with Westbury Scion's time attack driver (tC) and mentioned that I want to do Auto-X, but they tell me I should do time attack as well. Told me to pre reg for Redline at E-Town, NJ for the end of the month. I told him I want more suspention work and coilovers before I do that lol.

Hmmm they use just lip kits here cuz they're easy and cheap enough to repair/replace when they start playing bumper cars a lil too much But a front bumper such as a Burnout or C-One can certainly have aerodynamic advantages..
Time attack looks to be a lot of fun, down to pure driver's skill and car setup...

1) Continue to pay off the Kavin T or 2) being that I now have an '09, I have to get an 06-09 bumper so that the lip kits will fit with no problem lol. Then again, the Tein Yaris is kitted so I might stick with that.

no rear sway bar? thats the first thing i would do
Treyz, get the kit! I love the C-One kit. Itll perform aerodynamically too. Besides, it seems that you show the car more than race it so youll enjoy having the kit more. |

AGREED!
i have people out here who think my yaris is a luxury car, cops dont look at it, and i OWN people in the twisties all the time! Its the perfect perfect compromise between practicality, style, and handling performance. It'll be even more so in a few weeks |

If you wait to have your car set up the way you want it to be you will almoxt never see a track. SaerinRhoe does auto-x in his bone stock Yaris. I say forget the kit do a lip if you want to be different then save the leftover money for coilovers if you have your mind set on those before you auto-x/time attack. Just my 2 cents. The Tien looks to have the burnout front bumper not sure about the rear

Never actually seen a TRD rear sway bar here, seems to be a TRD USA thing, the local distributor does not have them. And keep in mind these cars are modified to a single standard

My ride looked pretty "track ready" before I put the back set, back in . I'm going for a true track(auto-x/streets of willow) build for the end of 09'/2010 Ie feather light rims/r-compound tires , all bs gutted out of the car , full brake upgrade and 1-off long-tube headers(in the works)
Old picture , but one of my favorites |
