TRD rims scratched from dealership...

Too bad I didn't saw the scratches on the rims before, but I found in one wheel some tools marks, on another rim some light scratches if they rub the rim with something, and a bent on that rim, also a small "tool scratch" on the third wheel. Only one rim is in perfect condition.

"Tool scratch": like they use a tool or something to put the tire and they left those two marks...

My bad was not to check everydetail, and also because was at night I didn't saw anything wrong.

They told me to talk with my saleperson and sale manager I deal with.. but both are going to be on the dealership in 2 days.

Do you think I can fight this? I was thinking asking for the money back of the rims, and 4 stock steel wheels.

I think the moment you drove off the lot it became your problem...

Visit their lot and look for similar tool marks on other wheels to prove your case.. if not, it never hurts to ask.

1st I went.. some manager assistance said that they couldn't do anything...

2nd time I went, talked with some other guy.. then with the sale manager, then with the service department manager.. and they are going to fix the rims! :)

I was brought up to be nice, but I learned that car dealers need a special approach. When you bow to there level and start to be a total ruthless prick things happen in your favor!

problem is your dealership(like mine) doesn't have a tire machine that accepts bigger wheels. sucks that you didn't see that before you drove off the lot...

I was going to say, it would hurt to try. We noticed a tear/fray in the rear seat only after we got it home. I emailed my salesman and he said when I had it in for them to do some other things ,that he would have the interior people to look at it and repair it. The dealership I bought mine at is very big on the Toyota surveys and getting good remarks. It's their report card, so to say. So far they have been great, am taking it in the morning for them to do those things.

well, 2 months later and...

all scratches fixed by the dealer, and one new wheel to replace the one with the bent... and for free. :)
