Exhaust sound "scientific" testing
For fun, I did a little exhaust note test @ Idle and 3100RPM. Hope this will help people find exhaust they want.
Car Specs: No Boost AFE Intake 50400miles on the ODO OEM everything else engine/exhaust related besides the tested items Setup: Engine warmed up to normal operating temperatures ~175F from my reading 3 feet distance from bumper inline with the exhaust 48khz 16bit. Manual mic level. Only after the fact did I realize, i had both a compressor AND high pass filter on at 237Hz on all of them, so not sure how that may affect the bass of each exhaust, massive Fail on my part. *I do not have a stock exhaust to test to set a baseline. Tested: Muffler Delete (No pipe): https://www.dropbox.com/s/8c16khmt24...0No%20Pipe.wav DC Sport Axleback: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h8l28gm71l...DC%20Sport.wav Resonator Back (straight pipe): https://www.dropbox.com/s/iesbvnv8xs...Res%20Back.wav
