4x100 --> 5x130 adapters

i know H&R makes some, but i know they are aimed for german cars with lug bolts. anyone know if these will work on a yaris? im not sure cause im a VW guy and not sure about the lug studs being too long or not.

i ask cause my girlfriend saw a set of Porsche Phonedial wheels and fell in love with them. so for her birthday i wanted to surprise her with a set for her yaris.

You can add longer studs to the yaris hub pretty easily. As to fitment; it is going to depend on how thick the adapters are and the width/offset on your porsche wheels. You've got a lot of room to work with in the rear, but the front is tight, so offset is pretty key.
Also, remember that spacers will add load to your wheel bearings (mainly in front), which can wear-out bearings early in agressive driving. Not a huge issue, but I'd be checking my bearings every few months.

What's the size and width of the Porsche wheels?

Are you lowered or do you plan to lower?

Do you want to mess with camber adjustments?

the porsche wheels are 15x7

not lowered yet but planning on air ride within the next year

we will worry about camber once air ride is installed for the perfect driving and sitting stance. but def dont want anything crazy, nice and tucked is prefered.

15x7, ET52 won't work with 25mm adapters. You could get the wheels filled and redrilled.

Yea that's another option. Was hoping it wouldn't take shaving and redrilling. But fuck it as soon as we have cash it's happening :)

There are companies that produce smaller adapters at the same, if not higher quality than H&R...

There is always the option of swapping over to Scion hubs, which are 5-lug. Not sure if the pattern is the same, but probably no more expensive than fill and drill.

Ive actually considered this and done the research some time ago, I had a set of Porsche wheels sitting in my backyard for a long time because of it. You can get 4x100 to 5x130 adapters as thin as 18mm from my friend's company Adaptec Speedware, he will custom cut the adapters to your specs. His name is Matt and he will help you out. Email him here: matt@adaptecspeedware.com

You will need to find a open end lugnut thin enough not to interfere with the bore thats there for the 4x100 pattern (the pocket is very narrow because of the 5x130 pattern that gets really close). If you can get smaller diameter studs that might help too, but I doubt you will have to get longer studs.

Wow you guys are so awesome! Good to see a community of enthusiasts who are super helpful and nice. I'm used to the egos and constant flaming of the Vwvoetex that happens when someone needs help or ask a question. I love my vw but some of the people suck. I also love my womans yaris and you guys are great! (like my local vw group dubs in the buff... All awesome too). So thanks for the help!

And for those spacers I'll look into those open ended lug nuts and when I get my hands on a set of phonedials get in contact with that guy about spacers. An 18mm spacer with a et52 wheel that's 15x7 should be tuckable right?

Ive owned 15 VWs, a couple in PVW mag, and Im on Vortex too haha.
A 18mm adapter would put you at a 34mm final ET on those wheels. On a 7" wide it should be fine. I would maybe just have a slightly thicker set of adapters built for the rears (spacers built into your adapters for s staggered setup).

15x7, ET34, 195mm rubber... and you won't be tucked up front.

nice! Anything recent? Which cars did you have in pvw?

And seeing i know a kid who works in a machine shop maybe I can get adapters made though that guy reccomended here and have my buddy file the wheels so they have some tuck cause that's the ultimate goal.
