GI: Mesh A/C Vents

Custom Lftback and I got the inspiration from Cali Yaris' mesh vents and decided to make our own. We would be willing to make them for anyone wanting to do this modification. All you would have to do is remove radio/vent trim, separate black vent housing from trim, remove horizontal tri-vent slats, and place the mesh vent screens in place. Put everything back together and voila! Ultra cool-race inspired A/C vents No cutting or gluing required. Super quick install and amazing results. Works with all year Liftbacks. Sedan application pending.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished product installed.

If we can get 10 members devoted then we can start production and have them shipping out by mid-April. The price will be cheap, plus shipping, to anywhere in the US.

If the demand is high enough we will consider offering various colors, other than the current shiny black.

Thank you for your time and please feel free to comment.

Haha your dash looks like a cartoon frog or something, with the vents being eyes, and the radio bezel it's mouth.

Since you asked....
I'm not interested because (as I understand it) you have to remove the horizontal slats the driect air flow up and down.

Thanks for giving credit you guys, very honorable thing to do.

I never adjusted the slats anyway, and I haven't ever noticed them missing since I did the mesh in mine.

You know...I might do that...

Are you taking orders for the sedan yet? I'm down with gloss black. I've got to make that entire section black anyway to match the tuner going in. It may be some of Cali's Neffy wrap...we're just not sure until we actually get to that point.

FWIW
I never adjust the slats either.
That is, after I made my initial adjustments to direct air flow where I want it.

I must admitt that the screens do look nice however.

It seems like there is a higher interest for the sedan application. We are working on getting the sedan radio trim and vents to test the compatibility. If we can get a few more members interested we will push ahead with the mock-ups. Again, thank you all for your comments and keep them coming.
