ABS Light On
It's on my wife's 05 Camry but the people on the forum there are dufusus.
Unlike here. What could be wrong. Where should I start looking? Can that trigger a code. The CEL isnt on. I recently had the car up on a lift with the wheels and brake drums off. Everything looked like new. Thanks!

Does the and still work?
I'd start by pulling the sensors and connectors and cleaning and adding electrical grease

ABS Light On
and = abs
ABS faults will not trigger a CEL. Prob an issue with one or more sensors on the hubs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For future reference, I agree with pulling the connectors, cleaning and greasing. It fixed my problem 100,000 miles ago. Never had the problem since.

some yaris have issues with the rear sensors. they are built into the hubs and can't be removed. the hub has to be replaced. I had this issue last winter when it gets cold out. I cleared the codes and it hasn't come back. (also has not got cold enough yet)
did you pull the codes? it will give you a much better direction of where to find the issue instead of blindly cleaning parts and hoping for the best. any parts shop will pull the codes for you. (most will not clear the codes, they want you to buy parts...) |

My 2007 had an abs light once, it was triggered by a rear sensor. I removed both rear plugs, cleaned the connections with contact cleaner, applied some dielectric grease and reconnected them and the code and light automatically cleared.
The rear sensor plugs accumulate moisture and dirt, especially on winter climate cars. Sent from my Blackberry Priv using Tapatalk |
