"Bouncy" Ride After DF210s?
My next mod will be a set of DF210s, but today we were following a dropped Acura and I noticed it "bounced" badly everytime it hit any dips in the road. Now I am concerned that if I lowered my Yaris how the ride will be. I have read several people say the ride is better after installing DF210s, and I was wondering if that was true for everyone?
So, let's hear how your ride has changed since putting DF210s... Cheers! M2 |

It will be more bumpy, there's no way around it with shorter springs with a higher rate. Bouncy would lead me to believe someone lowered on stock struts, or cut their springs.

I have the DF210's on my 2007 LB and I would call the difference in the ride as going from passenger car to sporty car...
You do feel the road a little more, but there isn't so much leaning in turns. I wouldn't call it BOUNCY, though. Does that make sense at all? Edited to say I'm running shock struts and did NOT cut the springs.

Thanks, that may be the explanation. I would most certainly expect a somewhat stiffer ride from the shorter springs; but not a bouncier one. With my 215/45/17 wheels I am already feeling more of the road than with stock tires, I just want to make sure I don't go looking like I am bouncing on a pogo stick everytime I hit a bump!
Cheers! M2 |

Shouldn't be bouncy. He more than likely had a set of generic sleeve coilovers. DF210s are progressive and his have a linear spring rate. Plus I'm sure he was bouncing off of the bump stops I'm sure.

DF210's are not bouncy.

I hated my DF210's because of the rear drop. I needed a stiffer srping so went with TRD's (I like a harsher ride). They did ride smoothly though.

DF210s are soft. Too soft IMO. That person probably ghetto lowered his shit (cutting/torching stock springs)

Big difference between bouncy (stock) and firm, need to learn the difference.
