RIMS ON THE YARIS
I was wondering did anybody put some wheels on the yaris any bigger than 15 inches. I Want to put some 17inch alloy rims (maybe chrome if i can find a good deal) but im wondering how it would handle with rims that size???

please don't put chrome.
Check out wheelmax.com and look at wheels that fit the scion xa and they will most likely fit perfectly. |

I dunno about the look either .......... kinda like an RC car, or maybe a roller-skate.

I hava a black Liftback and i'm going with 18's chrome. Just wainting for the springs to put them on at same time. IMO this is the proper size for looks and performs. 19's or even 20's are a bit huge.

I'm a performance guy, and incase you are too, don't be fooled with people saying bigger rim, less tirewall, better handling. Personally, compact cars like the yaris, xb, fit, and so on look retarded in anything more than 18''. This is just my opinion, so please no one get offended. I also absolutely hate chrome rims.
However, looking at the yaris i'd say these would be great: 15x6.5 - 15x8 16x6.5 - 16x8 17x7 - 17x7.5 18x7 - 18x7.5 Personally i perfer the 15-16'' size, of course to run 8's you might need to run some camber and/or roll the fenders, i know the xb can handle it depending upon offset. I think the yaris is pretty similar so shouldn't be too much of a problem. |

My Yaris got 15'rim.. and I do feel some power lacking and the car consume a lot petrol .. about decrease in around 20km.
Thats why I have change my rim to 14" and boy I get 570km in 38 litre. But with low profile rim.. the other problem i face ...was that because of bad road... the whole car used to shakes. |

I got the Japanese Vitz RS 16" alloys... weights about 7kg by itself... made by Enkei. Function over form for me.... so far copped a fair bit of abuse and still nice and round.
Spend the money into better & softer rubber instead of budget rims. |
