modify stock axle back muffler what do you think

hey i have been throwing the idea of getting a 2nd axle back muffler and cutting it open and welding in a u pipe so the muffler is bypassed i have driven with the muffler detached i found a huge difference in speed/ engine response so i will cut the muffler open weld in the u pipe seal it and weld it back so it all looks stock, aim to get a littal more speed/ engine response and a better sound any thoughts ???

Why spend the money on a muffler? Just run a straight pipe.

you can delete, the rear muffler , but
you will not meet the noise restrictions , which i
beleave is the same as NZ 95. D/B .
Even if you did what i did inlarging the excit of the rear muffler to 2.5"
the bend required to make it look stock is to tight to be any advantage .

Once you open the muffler you will see that it divides into two chambers. The exhaust goes into chamber one and then through a area with a trap door of sorts till it reaches the exit pipe. What i did was connect the main exhaust pipe directly with the exit pipe bypassing all the chambers and thats it. Weld the muffler shut and nobody can tell it has a surgery has been performed and well you saw the video so you know how it sounds. Looks just like a OEM yaris muffler.
if I say so myself haha

just get an electronic exhaust open dump valve

if you install this just b4 your muffler, you will be able to electronicly open the exhaust with the flip of a switch

It goes up to the limiter. I charged $100 to replace and a core muffler. I haven't done any in a while. I did quite a few here localy, but the Yaris is not the popular go fast car around year so only a few people really wanted them.
