abs or no?

new with the yaris. only ran 2 autox sofar. 2010 2dr LB.. was able to find how to turn traction control off thank goodness.. awesome thread btw..

question.. do those who run disable the ABS or keep it. if you do, are you pulling the fuse or pulling the connector off the ABS assembly? or is there another way of doing this.. thanks

Nine times out of ten you are going to get better braking with ABS. Sure, there are guys that think they are they are Schumacher and can do a better job without ABS, but that is typically not the case. The vehicle dynamic changes are so quick in autox, and strait-line braking is a rarity, so keep your ABS.

If the rules allowed us to have it on the H Prod car I would.

My friends are running a '06 Civic Si fully preped, and they also cam from a CRX. I asked them just last weekend if they were still using the ABS and the answer is yes. They find is SO much better because you can just mash the brakes and not worry about locking up while entering a corner and just worry about steering the car. They can blow by cars with 3 times the power and NO ABS entering corners and pull away until horsepower wins on the straights.
