I can accept that. Thanks Richard.

why do you think that I am joking? CF is a great material for an intake plenum!
on a car that creates less heat than hot faucet water it isnt really needed lol, aluminum dissipates heat just fine....but it would be cool to look at if you pop the hood.. :)

Any chance of you selling the prototypes as one off non production pieces? I dig the fabbed look.

What makes you think that heat was/is my concern? My concern was sound.

and they'll just do the same, the difference will be that your nitrous will actually be hooked up to your engine.

will this intake pass smog tests in Texas?

Just curious before buying one. Can I pass the smog test in Texas. I know it's only more air and not fuel, but would they mess w/ me at the inspection station? Thanks!

I think you would have to make sure its available for sale first, before worrying about how much hp it gets you. From what I have seen so far, its shelved until someone sees enough profit in the venture to tool up and mass produce the thing.

+1

Anyone who has ever heard a CF intake on a C30/C32 engine NSX, a Metzger-block Porsche (GT3/GT3RS), or an E46 M3 or even a tweaked out K20 will know what Chupacabra is getting at! CF intakes are the best sounding intakes!

Sadly, it seems that intake manifold is on hold at the moment. AFAIK there's a nice foundry in BKK that does a lot of surge-style intake plenums which I have seen for Silvias, Supras, Evos and Skylines. Maybe they can do that? I have their address with me on my mobile hehehe

Good Job richard although I couldn't find any price estimations just for references. I am in an ongoing turbo project for the 1NZ and will probably consider to upgrade the intake. I hope this is available worldwide (at least Europe)

Keep up the good work!

I saw in a previous thread that he had wanted 10 commits in order to make a run of them; did he not get them or does he need more than that? How many orders does he need to make a production run?
