32 here, bought the Yaris LB for weekday commute...Figured gas won't get any cheaper, and I really want to retire my M Coupe to "quality miles" only...However, that doesn't mean the Yaris isn't fun

39 M, got it for milage and to customize the crap out of it with my son then in 3 years when he starts to drive I will give it ot him. Then start all over again with another one for my other son.
It will give us something to do together mod'ing it.

Its cheap and easy to mod and since kids like the small cars it will keep them away from my baby.

Well... I'm 25... but I actually own my 12th car!! Here's the list in order.

- 1989 Dodge Shadow SE (L4 2.5L, auto 3spd)
- 1985 Dodge 600 LE (L4 2.2L, auto 3spd)
- 1988 Plymouth Reliant-K (L4 2.5L, auto 3spd)
- 1994 Eagle Vision TSi (V6 3.5L 24V, auto 4spd)
- 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE (L4 2.2L, auto 4spd)
- 1992 Volkswagen Jetta GL (L4 1.8L, man 5spd)
- 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE (L4 1.8L, auto 4spd) *AUDIO BOOM BOX! *
- 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V (L4 2.5L, man 6spd) *BASICLY MODIFIED*
- 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R (L4 2.5L, auto 4spd) *HIGHLY MODIFIED*
- 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5s Extra (L4 2.5L, man 5spd) *The car I like the most... but a little expensive (32,000$ CDN with taxs)*
- 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier VL Ecotec (L4 2.2L, auto 4spd) *ACTUAL RIDE*

Yes... I like cars !!!

I actually slow down car's expenses for two years because I'm saving money to buy a new house. But I'm planning a new car and a new project in two years!

... and I also partially own a 2002 Toyota Echo (L4 1.5L, auto 4spd) but it's mostly my girlfriend car, even if I pay for it most of the time... LOL

I'm 50, an empty nester wannabe (2 daughters). I bought the Yaris for it's value. I bought an SSR last year and now that its officially a collector car, I needed something that got 40 mpg, cost under 15k, AND hold its value (to keep miles off my truck).

The Yaris is the only (new) car that fit that criteria. I could've bought an Aveo, but I know in 3 years it'd be a worthless piece of junk.........

25.

Wanted a car to get me to Toronto easily, so I no longer had to bus it on weekends to see friends and when I was going to Toronto to see DJs I wanted to see when they are in town (at least once a month, if not every other weekend).

Wanted a car GREAT on milage, not overly expensive, and one that would last a long time w/o me needing to drop massive $$ on repairs and maintenance all the time. Wanted a car I could consistenly rely on and not worry about - one really well built

The Yaris (a TOYOTA) was that... and that I got a car that I fucking love how it looks and is so cool/cute was a massive bonus that has me even more in love w/ my choice of the Yarii!
