new owner

I just bought a Polar white liftback with the power package w/ 15 inch alloys.

Dealer kept telling me it was one of the very few in the southeast (one of 2 as of tonight, of ANY color).

Doesn't really matter to me, but how true is this?

Just at local dealer for an oil change (I supply the Mobil 1).

They had five sedans (no sticks, none loaded) and four LB's (no sticks, and one loaded in polar white).

We probably have the only Loaded LB with stick-shift and factory Alloy Wheels in the Portland/Vancouver area, if not in the entire NW. (We added the factory Alloys a couple of weeks ago.)

i'm glad i didn't buy the power package. with two windows and two doors, who needs power windows and power locks? waste of money, IMHO.

I bought a silver (meteorite metallic) liftback with the power package back in September. I ordered it with alloy wheels, but as they weren't available at the time, my dealership added 15" Enkei alloy wheels instead. I like 'em better than the standard alloys. BTW-- I'm in GA.

Not just the power windows & locks--power mirrors, 40/60 split rear seat (which lays completely FLAT), upgraded mp3/wma/ipod capable stereo, rear wiper & defroster, remote keyless entry, 15" wheels. Well worth the extra bucks, imo!

Power mirrors would be nice. Also, I have never seen a 5 speed manual or the power package in any Yaris. Obviously they exist, I just haven't seen them around here.

he's right. as i write this there is only 1 automatic power package LB available in the southeast, and 2 manuals. the numbers are better w/ the steel wheels, with 90 showing up for the automatic and 32 for the manual.

i'm going w/ steel wheels on the sedan. when i need new tires i'll worry about the possibility of new rims.

http://www.buyatoyota.com/zipCodeEntry.aspx

just enter your zip. if you're in the southeast, regardless of which dealership you choose u'll be doing an inventory search of Southeast Toyota's slew. doing an inventory serch will let u know how many, if any, are at the given dealership but will also list how many are in the system with the given configuration.

we have a couple (3-4) of liftbacks in stock but the power package is hard to get i should say very hard to get. i swooped up on a customers order when it came in and was the wrong blue for myself. just because i did not want to wait for one.

Sounds like you might work at a dealership?

If so, a question: What % of Yaris HB's have Power Pkg + Stick-Shift?

Just curious how rare our little guy is.

well, i got one of the few yaris' in the northwest...there were only two sedan manual S coupes available when i bought mine...and neither dealership was willing to trade (one in southern oregon and one in washington, i belive they were both polar white)...so i ended up settling with a polar white base sedan...and of course it was a stick...i cant stand automatics.

so i dunno that your dealer was lying to you...i hear in some states there is a waiting list.

WOW! Low percentage.

Guess my sister and I are lucky to both have LBs with full power pkg! She did have to settle for an A/T though.
