The Toyota Scion dealer here in Danville has a 2008 Scion xB on the lot. It sticker at just over $19,500! Man, it's a beast compaired to the out going model. And that price! Holly shit!

If you can get a 5-speed with no options you can come in around $16K. To me, a former xB owner, I am disappointed with them throwing the mpg to the winds . . .

Oh wait, the xD is really the new xB! That's where the mpg will be.

Im lookin at the new xB aswell as Yaris right now, but for 19k$ it must have been AT and had NAV or somthing like that. I got quoted 18k$ OTD on a 08 xB manual trans. Gas mileage is not so great but thats the only downside..

there are tons of new xB's on the road here in SoCal already. i gotta admit, i like the old one better. is the xB competing with the CRV or lower end jeeps nowadays?? doesnt seem too bright what with toyota also carrying the RAV4. guess the xB is for people who want a RAV4 but dont acutally want to go off-roading (everyone in LA). it just feels like toyota is stealing customers from itself...

My brother was very disappointed in the new generation xB. He was going to buy a new one, but now he will probably hold onto his. I told him to get a Fit. I also told him about the xD.

hehe

He needs more room in a hatchback. The original xB is way bigger than our Yarii in the cargo department. The new xB is huge inside, but MPG sux big time. I want the head unit from a 2008 xB! It has RCA outs! Scion stereos sound awesome too.

I think the design is diffrent but better then the old design and i like the 1st gen xB. They rounded the corners and chopped the top and it looks much more sleek. I think the engine change was stupid though, with gas prices as high as they are why would you make it less fuel efficient? but its still definetly a improvment on the previous model IMO.

You got it. Why would Toyota take a step backwards like that? I guess they wanted it to compete directly with the Nissan Versa. hehe

i guess alot of peoples in here are worry about MPG.
Alot of reviews about new 2008 xb said that it's very quiet and handling way better than the old version and they can do about 33mpg in City. I dont know yet, but probably it is my next new car.

33MPG city! That's friggin phantastic. So i guess the sticker MPG is on the new system, and it doesn't look as good, but yet can still deliver good MPG. That is great news and I will inform my brother that all is not lost with the new xB. Thanks!

BTW - I wouldn't mind getting an xB if the mileage is still in the same ballpark as the Yaris.

Why would anyone want an xB? They're so ugly, they have to sneak up on gas pumps so they don't scare them off!

yeah it's said like 22 or 28 mpg on city or something, but alot of peoples got better mpg than that in City. I can't wait to test drive one.
