Max offset
Anyone know what the max offset or better yet the proper offset to run on the Yaris with 17" wheels and/or 16" wheels? The car is lowered with the optional lowering springs... Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for a non-rubbing, good fit! |

For some reason I think the TRD 18's are +50.

Well I've been advised +44 on 16" and +42 on 17", but I wanted to get a 2nd opinion...

I know for sure that the TRD 17 inchers for the Vitz in Japan are +50 offset...

The stock offset on the xA/xB is +38. I'm running a +35 up front and a +20 out back without issue. However, the fenders on the Yaris are obviously different than the xA/xB. I know if you run anything more than a +45 on the Scions you run the risk of the inside lip rubbing against the suspension.
EDIT: I just checked www.tirerack.com and most of the wheels they were offering for the 2007 Yaris were +45, so I guess the fit is different than the Scions. I wonder if my +35 would rub? |

When talking to a wheel dealer they advised me that i should be running 17X7 +42 with 215-40-17 tires... is he FOS? or on the right track?

BUMP
Can anyone comment on the appropriate offset in selecting wheels for the Yaris hatch/liftback ? 16? 17? With or without factory or non-factory lowering springs? |

It looks like the range is about +40 to about +50.
