1 Month = Yaris HB's - vs - Scion xB's
One day while driving home on a Friday in traffic (So Cal) I kept noticing
a shitload of Scion xB's. One after another, after another. It was July 29th and I told myself starting August 1st, for the month of August I'll count all xB's and all Yaris HB's (nothing against the Yari Sedans, just HB's). From my work I had a hand held clicker type counter that I just kept in the center console area. See a xB, click it. See a HB, click it. (It had separate counters for each) I'm just sittin in traffic in my car anyway. Some days I had counted over 40 xB's just going home, just one direction. So here are the totals for one month of observations: Scion xB = 528 Lowered or Modded xB's = 50% of themYaris HB's = 148 Lowered or Modded HB's = ZERO How many Yaris ''S'' = ZEROHow many Jolt Yellow = ZEROIt appeared that the colors were as follows from most to least: 1) White 2) Black 3) Meteorite Metallic 4) Blazing Blue 5) Bayou Blue 6) Red 7) That Cranberry Red color 8) Jolt Yellow I'm glad the experiment is over, again, just some observations. The Scion guys & gal's have some really nice rides. HUUMMM, makes me wonder if I should get my wife an xB (1st Gen) |

my area is still over run with the large SUVs and oversized domestic cars. I know of 2 other yarii that I see regularly and one is a company vehicle (spectrum labs). the scion xbs are kind of the same. around here, everyone likes their really big vehicles. i am kind of a loaner.

The Yaris is still a rare site where I live.

Wait, you're saying you would rather be like the rest of the crowd that drives xBs versus being more "exclusive" in your Yaris?
Maybe it's just me, but I like the fact that Yarii are less common than many other sub-compacts on the market. I see xBs all over the place, along with Civics, Neons and every other car in the genre; but Yarii are still a rare site here as well. Plus, I sat in a xB at the dealership when waiting on some maintenance on Sprocket; I did not like it. I already have a box with a flat windshield in my Jeep, why would I want a car that looks the same? Cheers! M2

↑ Ditto.
Modded Jolt Yellow Yaris S = instant win Plus you'll be able to tell all the Yaris-ignorant tuners that the paint is a one-off job to resemble BMW Motorsport's Dakar Yellow |

No I'm not gonna be like the rest of the crowd with an xB. My wife is interested in a car. Whether it be Honda, Scion or anything else. My 2008 Polar White ''S'' TRD, 3 dr is what I'll be driving for a long time. OHH!! and by the way, since I bought my ''S'' liftback in 08. I have seen only about 6, 2008 ''S'' liftbacks in the past 3 years. Well after the past month of observations of the Yaris and 148 cars later and not seeing ANY ''S'' models. I'm content with having a now becoming rare car. Thats why I call mine the = FerrYari |

Wow, I'd be pushing it to see 10 cars of each make during a month here.
It's Carmine Red (not cranberry). I have one. |

Ever since I got mine last month I've been noticing more and more Yarii. Thinking of getting the Yarisworld logo/url printed on business cards to leave behind and promote the site!

Nice little experiment sir! In my area it would be the other way around. Its rare that I see an xB but I cant go a drive without seeing a Yaris. At the casino I work at there are several Yarii between employee's and guests everyday. Never any del sol's though, thats what I really love...
