After Market Car Audio Installation

Hi, i'm just about to install an after market car audio into my yaris and would just like to know...if its safe to disconnect the negative battery terminal?

I agree with suckerface, when working with wires to your vehicle its best to disconnect the negative terminals, for safety and not blowing out any fuses by accident, and welcome to YW.

Also once you reconnect it,turn on car and let it run a few minutes to get the computer to relearn,then go for a drive,just regular driving.....

Thanks guys:D. Disconnected the negative terminal, removed the factory radio and installed the after market radio..and lastly re-connected the negative terminal back on. Starting the car was shaky at the beginning...but later on with it running things smoothed out. Success for the yaris and high five :D

Congratulations on the install. Are you going to take some pics?
Which radio did you put in there?
