New Cluster Problem.

So I purchased a Cluster with a tachometer(RPM Scale) because my original Cluster did not have a tach.

Then i installed the New Cluster and it works great except for the brake, tpms, and abs lights stay on. And the mileage is off.

So i read somewhere in the forums that if i were to switch the little board on the new cluster with the old one it would restore my original miles.

I did exactly that and everything seemed to work perfectly, it even turned off the tpms, abs, and brake lights.

.....But, i quickly noticed that the Tachometer wasn't working. "FML"

So, is there any solutions to this problem? Its for a sedan btw.

I assume that your 07 doesn't have TPWS or ABS? If that is the case, then to turn off the ABS and TPWS lights your easiest option is to disable the indicators - Remove the LEDs or put a piece of electrical tape over them. This requires disassembling the cluster to gain access to the LEDs.

The TPWS light could be fooled by supplying 5V to pin 6 of the right connector, but the ABS light is fed by a CAN Bus message, so that one can't be easily fooled.

For the odometer, you can't swap the core's, except on the same type of cluster, so the only way to get the correct mileage is to have someone (an equipped dealership or a speedometer repair shop) reprogram the EEPROM where the mileage is stored.

Do a search for "speedometer repair" in your area.

I have all of the info on how to do it on Toyota clusters, but haven't gotten around to building the fixture that I need to do it.
