variable intermittent wipers

so i was at the big new england toyota meet on the weekend, and i convinced a friend w/ an 09 xrs to let me try is windshield wiper control arm on my yaris

result: it IS plug and play. however - - the front intermittent wipers work fine, but the rear intermittent doesnt....still just on/off

so for those with a hatch wanting variable intermittent controls for their front wipers can use the wiper control arm off of an 09+ vibe/matrix. (id imagine the controls of a 10th gen corolla would work fine on a sedan)
