Nice one dude. All very interesting. I've watched a few videos by Paul Cangeolosi who does gearbox rebuilds and it still makes me nervous the thought of trying to get them back together afterwards. haha

Luckily for my I do this for a living and know my way around pretty easily by now. Any suggestions for the next one focused on the input shaft? |

Insanely fascinating! I always wondered how transmission specialists remember exactly where every tiny component goes. I can see why it can cost thousands to rebuild a transmission. I've heard stories of rebuilt transmissions failing shortly after the rebuild for one reason or another. In your experience, how often does a rebuilt transmission fail shortly after being rebuilt? Is it because of the components used during the rebuild process?
Thanks for these amazing videos and keep posting! I'm sure I'm not the only one that can watch these videos all day. |

Mine is going on 5 years, no issues to report. As long as you're following the repair manual, there's not a lot that will go wrong.

Most of the time I see a transmission fail is due to lack of quality control. Take all of the measurements, clean it thoroughly, use a assembly line, and assemble correctly. Check your work after every step, and if something doesn’t feel right....don’t ignore it.
Failure is almost never due to a defective part, but lands on each persons workmanship |
