i find that it's usually people in the most rural of areas that really really really love their guns. at least thats the case here. most people claim that it's for hunting purposes. cause who doesn't need a semi automatic weapon to hunt? others are more up front and admit they are preparing for the next revolution. make of that what you will. i'll leave out my opinion so as not to make this political. merely pointing out what i observe in my area.

Well I do live right beside a load of meth dealers that like to rob the houses, cars, and people in the neighborhood. There's a trailer park right behind my house loaded with meth (they were cooking Sunday night actually). Other than that the area isn't real high crime, but I've had people attempt to rob me twice, and both times a pistol thwarted the attempt. I just like to be prepared :)

They should make the MK-19 home legal...I would rock one of those in my trunk and have to replace something out of my ten to add that.

I do a lot of small game hunting but mostly I target shoot. I love running drills with pistols, it's good times! Enfields are great rifles. I don't currently own any, but I've got 2 old Mosin-Nagants :)

You can buy a MK-19, you'll just have to apply for the appropriate FFL and have a LOT of money to burn haha.

Gotta watch out with some older Enfields, though. Apparently some have had barrels let go (explode) through micro-cracking from improper storage conditions.
I know the ones that came into Woolworths in the mid-80's were appallingly badly kept - the bore looked like a dirt road before grading.
I shot one at school for years, well worked over by Parker-Hale for target use - bedded, re-barreled, etc. 10" groups at 500 yards were normal.

Me too! Enfields are nice.

My two favorites that I own are:

1) 1917 P17 Eddystone (.30-06)... matching
2) 1942 M/38 (Type II) Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Swedish Mouser (6.5 x 55) ... matching

The Swedish gun is the most accurate military rifle round I have shot!

I also have a 1943 Smith-Corona M03A3 with all matching parts that I like very much. Except the gun dealer sold it without the original stock... It has a wood Fagen floating military stock.

I use to collect WWI and WWII rifles...

Cheers!

I got both of mine local so I could do a physical check to make sure that there weren't any problems with em. I love those old rifles!
