Simota Carbon Charger Cold Air Intake

So I got my intake on thursday and put it that night after work. I was thinking about putting on this weekend but was to excited to wait. I am very happy with and the service that I got from kargoboy was amazing. delivery was faster than expected. The install was really easy on a scale from 1-10 with 1 easy it was probably a 2 cause you have to force the pick up tube by your head light may sound bad but really was not. So here is the process couldn't find one on this and if there is here is a newer one pictures and all. Enjoy sorry they are a little out of order.

This is what it looks like before it is touched there are two hose clamps that need to be removed on the tube going from the throttle body to the air box. There is a hose on the back side of this tube with a little clampthat you can pinch with your fingers move it up the line cause you will reuse it pull the hose off. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow sensor harness there are a couple of little clips holding it to the stock system you can brake those off if you like or fight them like I did. Unclip the top of the air box now you can pull it off with the intake hose with it now you can swich the the MAF over to the new intake tube make sure it is facing the right way.
Attachment 14057

This is everthing that comes with the kit.

This is what it looks like assembled w/o clamps

After the top of the air box is off and the MAF is swiched over. Remove the air filter and there are 2 bolts in the bottem those need to be removed to take out the bottem of the air box. They are 10mm bolt heads.
smallercar14.jpg

This is with the stock air box removed and the bracket under it too (sorry no pic of the bracket i was still really excited). The bolts holding the bracket have a 12mm head. One of the bolts will reused for the bracket in the kit. I used the hole in the front.
smallercar15.jpg

This is the whole air box put back together with the the bracket no the bottem for storage. Big difference in size and weight.
smallercar16.jpg

This is everthing installed sorry no pictures half way through got carried away again. Install the MAF tube with the adaptor for the throttle body clamp it. then slide the tube with the little clamp still on it and reclamp it. To install the filter leave the main pick up tube clamped on it with the elbow because force is needed to slide the pick up tube between the wires under the head light. now find a way to install the last rubber adaptor and the mounting bracket. It shows how I did my bracket. Just a suggestion.
smaller17.jpg

I took off my bumper to show what the pick up tube looks like behind the bumper. This is not a nessecary step I just wanted to see it and get a picture
smallercar18.jpg

Over all driving the car I am very happy with it. I drive around with a grin on my face. At WOT I tell everyone that my car sounds pissed off. Just sounds really cool which is why the strictly fuel economy moders won't like my review cause it sound to cool not to let it make that noise. Haha..

Haha... Thank you... I went to the car wash already. It looks good now. Like they said this whole kit can fit the sedan with a little custom work but can also be used as a ram air too.

I just sent you a PM, but now I am confused after reading this.
You ordered only a replacement filter encased in a carbon-fiber-looking
heat shield. The one you ordered fits a 3" intake tube.
That's not an entire intake, though, it's just a filter.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. My intake is the best.
