WICKED COMBINATION!!!

Today I installed the TRD Short Shifter kit. I believe the NST is an exact copy of the TRD kit. The little arm shortens the throw by shortening the lever on the tranny. NOW for the fun part. I have already installed the TWM short shifter and bushing kit. Together it is amazing. The TRD kit is no comparison to the TWM stick. If i had to choose i would go with the TWM stick over the TRD kit. BUT together they are awsome. The throw is so short, crips, and positive. No trouble getting in to 5th and reverse gear. Just a good time.

how much play is there in the shifter when in a gear?? I can still wiggle the shifter on mine, but I had just asked a question last week about what you just did. How far is it from 1st to 2nd (in terms of inches), and once again, is there much play in the gear shift at all??? Thanks.

Thanks for posting the results, thinking about doing the combination also, except NST FTW!

the trd short shift kit cannot be compared to just the TWM stick alone. 2 totally different componets there.....

Not quite exactly... The TWM, because it is a shorter stick, will also reduce side-to-side throw, the NST/TRD one is just for front-to-back throw. But yeah, that's really a minor difference, I'm tempted to throw in the NST piece in as well for the heck of it too

I would never have thought of this.

Funny thing is, my wife doesn't like the NST kit, so I pop it out when she wants to drive
