SCION/Pioneer Premium Stereo w/ iPod connect

For Sale: $100 shipped (lower 48) with ipod unit

Scion tC Pioneer T1808 stereo HU, 160W, ipod-ready, sat-ready, plays WMA, MP3 AND AAC (apple itunes format) as well as regular CD's. Amber display (I will include 3 amber bulbs for your climate control dials!), hooks directly into your factory harness and factory brackets. <10 minute install!

This unit will work in ANY Toyota vehicle that has the proper dash opening (most do). Significantly better-sounding than the OEM Yaris stereo, but looks factory.

Also included is a GROM ipod interface unit w/ all cables (and an extra!) Since this head unit is ipod-ready, you could also use the Grom unit in another car and buy the ipod connector from Toyota for this unit. The grop was cheaper. You can control your ipod from the head unit with this, and it charges the ipod/iphone. Yes, works with iphone/ipod touch.

This unit works great alone, or with the Scion/Bazooka powered subwoofer I am also selling in another listing!

Does it completely take over the controls on the iPod/iPhone?
I use a Magellan GPS app on my iPhone and output to the 3.5mm jack. My jack is noisy (needs the TSB, but out of warranty is $180 parts), so I'd like to integrate to a stereo. Some aftermarket stereos completely take over your iPod/iPhone and others have a "passenger mode". Have you used an iPhone with this? and does it take over or can you still use the iPhone controls?

You can still use your controls. It basically controls playlists and track selection, but doesn't display track info. I also have an aftermarket stereo in my p/u that does take-over the ipod completley, so I knwo what you're saying, but this does not.

sold.
Barber - I think it is the same, staying in one folder, but I created a "000" playlist with all of my music in it, so the controller just goes to that folder first, and I can leave it on random.
