Overcranking ?
I noticed an issue with my Vitz
If I go somewhere and turn off my engine. Then I turn it back on like just a short while after. (e.g. quick stop at a shop) It over cranks, (i have push button start) the starter motor keeps on going unless I press the gas even though the engine has already started. Now I know whats happening here. Since engine is still warm, the idle speed required is very low. So when starting from warm, it starts too soon and ecu thinks its not started because the rpm hasn't reached some threshold. (correct me if I am wrong on this) My question is how do I stop this from happening ? its pretty annoying. |

Our US ones do a similar behavior when the battery starts to reach the end of its useful life.
