"Race Mode" by ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/RACE-MODE-Toyota...QQcmdZViewItem

Ohhh man this is good, Yall know one day somebody is going to pull up to a light and say to you "hold on a sec I gotta switch to RACE MODE"

Maybe we will see it featured in "4 Faster Most Furious"

I kinda like the idea, a switchable ECU system so you can keep maximum fuel economy for normal situations, and tweaked settings at the press of a button.

Now the question is, does this kit in question actually do anything?

like all the other kits on ebay it's a resister that messes with the map sensor.

Been thinking about it... the best, most effective "race mode" button you could get is one that says "NOS" on it.... nuff said

This in itself is a useless modification because the vehicle it is intended for is not even capable of race performance.

The idea behind this modification is taken from exotics, namely FERRARI which has 3-6 swithcable preset vehicle settings.

I know the BMW M5 has this feature. It's literally like a video game where you preset the options to your liking and just floor it. I'm not sure what the feature or system is called on the M5, but there is a feature that allows the vehicle to cleanly push all the power to the wheels without any slippage (upon take off) even at higher revs above 6000 rpm.

^^sounds like more expensive stuff to break.

But then again, if I could afford a M5 or a Ferrari I'm sure I would be able to afford to fix it too.

I second etimago... it would make for a nice NOS button.

Thats the only way this car will ever be straight-line quick anyway, unless you spend thousands on FI or a swap.

Exactly

Well the M6 is out now. Another crazy M vehicle to watch out for.

But damn, the M5 is pound for pound the craziest sports sedan. The previous M5 models are still legendary...

hey, 7k and the 1nz can be fast :)

Maybe if you buy the yaris over again you'll be doubly fast? By my calculations, 14k or so would = a 9 second car...

I agree with you and definitely was not mocking the "Turbo Toys" for the SRT4 at all. Unless things have changed though I believe that is included in Stage 2 (for those who don't know “toys” controls boost, alky/propane/H20 spray to the intercooler and switchable ECU settings for high octane.) To my knowledge Stage 3 includes the 3R turbo upgrade (TD05) and with “toys” easily throws down 355hp and 365tq at the crank on 100 octane most nailing mid 12s at 110 but also voids the warranty since Dodge didn’t approve.

Anyways I was dying laughing when I saw this on ebay so this so I’m glad I could bring some laughs
