The firewall unit it sold. I may have another one available later. If and when I di I will re-post it. I still have a battery mounted kit available. $21 These kits use some stock bolts as well as some stock pre-threaded mounting holes. The extra bolts and nuts that are needed I supply. The battery mount kit uses the stock battery post terminal. I will prvide the buyer with mounting instructions as well as color labled wires for easy no guessing, fast installation. If anyone wants extra cables for extra ground points just let me know what points you want to ground. The price will change slightly but not much. For instance added cables for the valve cover and A/C compressor etc the price will be $25

07WYarisRS,
Do you mind taking a few photos of the ground points you suggested? I'm interested in seeing where the wires bolt to for the L Chassis, R Chassis, Throttle Body, and the ECU/Firewall. Thank you.

I knew i should have bought that new Canon S3 IS
My digital cam sucks so this is the best you get for now I just poped the battery out of the car for installing my own kit. It makes it MUCH easier to get to the transmission and cylinder head bolts, but it can be done with out removing the battery. It only takes 60 seconds so why not... I also kept the OEM grounds in place with my firewall mounted kit. the wire all have an inch or tow of play so you can rout them different ways. The kits are test fitted to ensure they all reach and not too long to hang down onto any moving or hot parts. I also add a colored Zip ties to one end and instructions for where each whire was made for. If anyone has any questions onthe exact routing for each cable just ask ! For the cylinder head I removed a bolt holding a bracket on between the engine and battery. Sorry no pic of that one but you can use any bolt that attaches to the cylinder head. For the trans you can use the OE ground bolt or any other bolt that attaches to the trans. On the Auto trans just left of the OEm ground is a threaded 6mm hole where a second ground can be attached. For the throttle body I did not remove the actual throttle body bolt instead I remove one of the bolts on the metal throttle body bracket that colds the coolant hose in place. I has a metal bushing and makes a solid ground point with no risk of gasket damage or air leak by loosening the throttle body bolts. For the left and right chassis mounts I used the existing pre drilled/threaded holed on each strut tower.

Same ground points for the Battery mount kit
Here are a few pics of the Battery mount kit First remove the OEM battery terminal nut and cable using the supplied nut in the kit tighten it onto the battery terminal. this nut helps keep the stud tight and also acts as a spacer Then install the ground plate and the flange nut. IF you want to use the OEM cables you can just mount them on the rear most hole on the ground plate like in the pic and put one of the other cables on top. BTW ignore the little red wire, and rough looking ground plate I was using that to ground out the car so i did not have to reset the clock and radio stations while playing with the kits test fitting them. the gnarly ground plate is my test plate. The ones in the kit come polished with a bit of a shine !

Thanks for the pics! I'd purchase a set of wires from you but then I already bought some from eBay Really appreciate the pics though (and they're not so bad)

I just got my kit today.
Holy shit, 07WYarisRS! - This is some really nice quality stuff! Nice crimping work too. Assuming everything fits perfectly, this is a great value and a major time saver for me. The pics above will help immensely. Thanks! |

trying to make my own kit. i got like 100ft of #6 stranded wire with a nice thick rubber insulation. i think it's actually #6 welding wire or sumthing. I've got my heat shrink and my tie wraps as well but what for the terminals (stake on??) you use to crimp onto the end of the wire, i cant find anything that will fit #6 AWG. and for the circular plate, what kinda metal is that? aluminum?? will steel work?? like a cover plate for a electrical box?

Got my kit the other day.
Everything looks nice, it was even packaged well! For $21 it's not even worth trying to one off a kit for your self. 07WYarisRS, great product. Thanks, Wayside |
