Yaris T Sport concept debuting at Geneva
Four world and European premieres at Geneva
Innovation and design set the tone for new Toyota models.
The T Sport is powered by a 1.8-litre engine, the biggest ever to be installed on this model. New bumpers, radiator grille, alloy wheels and modified suspension convey a more aggressive look, adding to the essence of this sports concept. The Toyota press conference will take place on the 28th of February, at 13:30, Hall 4. |

I love it when my sources are correct. Lets hope the 1.8 comes here.
Do you have a link to the story? |

I'm psyched to see a 1.8L engine! Gonna be interesting to see what the production version ends up looking like.

Sorry all, looks like I was crossed up. The image I posted originally is not the Yaris T-sport, but the Toyota Urban Cruiser Concept. I'll post pics of the Yaris T-sport as soon as they're released. Hopefully the T-sport is just a more aggressive looking Yaris, with the 1.8L engine.

Here's some more info on it (Australian specific info) from: http://editorial.carsales.com.au/mel...25710D0022DE12
_____________________ TOYOTA has stuffed a 1.8-litre Corolla engine into its all-new Yaris light car just weeks after its Australian and European launches. Dubbed the Yaris T Sport high-performance concept, the hottest Yaris yet produced was revealed late last week ahead of its world debut at the Geneva motor show on February 28. Offering 100kW instead of the garden variety Yaris 1.3’s 63kW – or the Yaris 1.5’s 80kW – the T Sport is likely to be named Yaris Sportivo in Australia, where it’s currently under consideration for release. The T Sport concept also features a new grille, bumpers and alloy wheels plus revised suspension, but is unlikely to surface Down Under inside 12 months. |

1.8L would be awesome but probably won't be here for another couple/few years if it's just being shown as concept car in Geneva show.

However I think the yaris will have to sell well the first year for them to bring over the 1.8l. |

You can almost take it for granted that the Yaris is selling well in its debut year here.

It depends what you call selling well. The echo only sold 48,000 or so copies in its debut year. I would not call that selling well.
Hopefully the Yaris sells at least 100k copies in the US. That would be a good sign. |

Well the yaris probably won't sell well by just shear numbers since there is supply shortage. Can't sell cars they don't have.
The demand is huge though, they have already stated they are trying to increase inventory in the US. |
