Not! The guys at Comp USA looked at me like I was making shit up.

I did run into a licensed electrician at Radio Shack who directed me to an electrical supply house or alarm supply place.

AH crap..

Ok guys, I didn't have the proper tool to remove the female molex pins. I tried to use screwdrivers, needles, hair pins, anything flat and solid but I couldn't get them out.

So I couldn't install the light today.
I will have to delay the half ass installation for a few days.

Word of caution regarding molex extractors/removal tools:

- Make sure the tool you purchase can remove SMALL pins
- Standard molex extractors for computer molexes will not work because the pin inside the Yaris molex is too small
- The molex extractor must be able to fit over the female pin entirely so that it can push the clips down

I think I'm going to destroy the stock molex plug with a razor blade and knife and extract them the sloppy way.

Updates to follow...

Dude, try a paperclip, works best for me on computer molex plugs, you should be able to squeeze it between the plastic and the pin, and shove the tab down.

All right, I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Computer molex plugs are easy to pop since they're bigger.
Since this one is smaller, it's a pain in the ass...

I haven't looked... are the pins round or square?

I'm taking the connector I got from japan for fit and going by an electrical supply house this morning.

We might need to save our stock lights (and connectors) for inspection.

Think this would work?

The electrical supply house didn't have one and the alarm supply shop only sells to the trades. I could have built my own space shuttle easier than getting all the parts I need to install these lights.

Pins are square at the head (female), but round around the stripped wire.

Thanks - I already looked at mine.

Like this right?

Do you think that tool I posted earlier will do the trick?

Right on, that's exactly it.

The tool you posted earlier might just work. The forks look slim enough to squeeze in between the molex slot and the molex pin.

I am still going to try to use house hold items/tools to get them out.
