Does that band say "I <3 your boobs"? I'd love to get one of these for the wife, but I just got her one last fall. Brain fart on the model.

Do you have any other lenses you're thinking of selling?

That's what I want to replace. I have the 18-55IS kit lens. Complete garbage! I want to replace it with a Canon 17-55 2.8 or a Sigma 17-50 2.8. I have a Sigma 30 1.4 and a Canon 85 1.4 (on the way). The 30 is my everyday lens, the 85 will be my portrait lens, and I need a more usable kit range lens that will actually AF on things instead of hunt.

what camera you shooting with the sigmas ive had were super nice get the higher end versions there kinda contrasty but with digi its not really a issue as it was with film
if i were you id get a 17 to 40 f4 l series there nice for the average joe and not much more than a nice sigma wide zoom

thats my personal opionion with what youve said

Shooting with a T2i. I'd like the 2.8's so I have the option of better low light capture and better bokeh, so the 17-40 F4.0 is out.

do u believe in paying 1k for a lense are you amatuer with passion or amatuer with a rebel and think your a pro cause you use plug in or are you trying to make the best outa of what you know and learn and will do so with you photography far far into the future ..

if your answer is the last one go for the 1k 16 to 35 anything else would be a waste to you if your mind set is long term photography if your just a wweekend party shooter then wouldnt bother with a high end peice of glass and get a real camera rebels are a joke

In all honestly, body doesn't matter as much as the lens, and no where near as much as the photographer itself. No point in having the best equipment if one does not know how to compose a picture. Photography is a hobby to me, and I think I'm at the point where I can make do with what I have (did so with my previous camera, a Nikon D40 and a 35mm F1.8 lens).

imo, giving a person without much knowledge on how to photograph things is a 1D, 7D, 5D, etc is like giving a person who just learned how to drive a Ferrari, Lambo, etc. There's really no point.

I also don't have the money to buy "professional" grade equipment either. Like I said, I'm more of a "make do with what you got" type of guy.

ok cool that is what i wanted to know. ok then stick with sigmas there your best bang for your buck
i had one of these super attached to a mark 2n for the longest time
Sigma 20-40mm f/2.8 EX DG Aspherical Wide Angle Zoom Lens
if you can still find one of these zooms i highly suggest it i picked one up many years ago for around 260 off ebay

i hear you with make due with what you got but if you shop around and have alittle knoledge on products it can make your life nice

i come across good deals all the time i will keep you in mind first priority
also if you start shooting heavily and then you pick up a 1 d mark2 or a high end pro camera you can totally tell the difference between cameras its night and day

canon ships there rebels out to be built some where else sadly
if your gonna start getting into video which i did alittle with this 5d its totally fun new things to do to try its nice

I'm not much of a videographer. lol. I've never seen that Sigma lens on any classifieds. I'd like a 5Diii, any 7D, or any 1D, but that's a long way from now. hahahaha.

Cool, keep me updated with any lens deals you find.

Im looking at either Canons 24-105 or 24-70 for video. IS or faster lens. Which one?
I should rent both of them to try out first but i need something else besides the same Sigma 30 cropped people have.

24 105 light cleear brokah is ok for this size apt

One cost more than other

Professionally 24 to 70 but renting first is smart

Do you feel the IS is worth it?
I think the 24-105 looks physically more appealing. And more range of focal length is nice. I shoot mostly indoors so fast is necessary.
