FS: '07-11 Yaris side exit exhaust!

Until the vendor thing is fixed, I'm posting here.

We are now producing Yaris side exit exhaust for both Hatchback & Sedan! The kit attaches to the stock resonator & replaces the factory 1.75" tubing, with 2.25" tubing for the right look, sound & great fitment. This will require 1 weld onto the resonator(any muffler shop can handle this). There is not enough material to properly clamp to the end of the resonator. This is a great & easy upgrade fr anybody!

This kit produces an aggressive tone, without being too over-bearing. Video to be up shortly.

Pricing includes shipping in the 48, contact us for rates to farther away places;

$115 for aluminized-steel tubing
$145 for 409ss tubing (exact same as stock material).

http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.c...is-Side/Detail

Stay tuned, we have a full exhaust kit, a resonator to axle-back pipe upgrade & axle-backs in development!!!

Actually everyone's a vendor for now, until the admins get their asses into gear.

Silly question...

Why use more tubing to make the pipe come out the right side? Why not just turn it to the left and have it come out the driver's side?

I'm not trying to troll, just asking why right side exit versus left side.

Note that I have never spent any time looking at the OEM setup. Is there a resonator in the way? I'm loking at it but I have an airline for my trian horns very close to the proposed exit for this application. That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the full exhaust.

because this is how the exhaust runs...and there is a hanger just before the exhaust heads towards the muffler.

you cant have 2' of cantelevered exhaust pipe coming out the drivers side

there isnt a lot of space between the 2" section after the resonator to the location it shrinks to 1.75", so welding makes sense

Thank you for that pic and the explanation. I'd love to see a video.

I'm looking closely at this...

I think it has been discussed before, but isn't 2.25" a bit big if you are non forced induction? are you going to offer 2.00" as well ?

The mean flow of the exhaust is already dictated by the front half of the exhaust (lead pipe off the manifold & cats). You could run 3" after all of that with minimal influence on the performance compared to say 2". You get the initial gain of some couped up power from upsizing over the factory 1.75"...after that there is minimal change. Sometimes running a slight over size exhaust tubing after a lower flowing portion can stretch the torque curve higher by a smidge by creating a small venturi effect.

The bigger piping will give it a lower tone. Also, having it come out the side away from the driver will make a difference as well.

^ exactly. Just unbolting the axle-back leaves the midpipe pointing up into the car. With the exhaust exiting away from the underside of the car changes the experience.

would you say that this option saves a few pounds of weight not having the muffler?

Looks good. OP, do you have anything in line for a center exit out the rear exhaust? I had my own project in the works but shuffled money to maintenance and tires/wheels, and Garm's Magnaflow center exit is a beautiful piece but $450 is a tough pill to swallow for just an axle back.
