Has anyone dealt with this FleaBay merchant before?

I you think $124.00 is high buy molding and have it painted to match your ride. I don't like the look either, but park in real tight spaces at my work for a week and you will know why I am looking. It is much better then door dings!

I also thought about bodyside moldings before... because the 3DR Yaris has those huge doors that are really susceptible to door dings.

BTW, Toyota dealers in Canada sell real Toyota body side moldings. They're kind of narrow, and I don't think they look that great, but I was told they are specifically made for the Yaris.

There is a guy around here that put VW body side moldings on his Yaris. (I spoke with him in a parking lot one day. He said they were from an '06-'07 3DR Golf. He bought them from the VW dealer and had them painted). The VW moldings are wider than the Toyota ones and they actually fit perfectly and they looked quite good.

When I was visiting Montreal a few months ago, I stopped in at the Toyota dealer to see that great 5DR RS in person. At the same time, I picked up a Toyota options brochure for the Yaris... and there they were: bodyside moldings! The parts guy said they were colour-matched but had to be special ordered. Sorry, I can't remember the price, although it wasn't outrageous. That's all I know.

If the 5 door does not become available in the US in the next couple of years I am going to give my HB to my son and go buy one in the "Great White North".

That would be a great idea!

Let's just hope Toyota America can get in-tune with the market like Toyota Canada so we don't have to.

I'm on the west coast. Space center is a little north on the east coast. I think it's about a 3 to 4 hour drive.

info - moulding for three door dealer installed is $144 CDN or 135 US. That is painted to match. I haven't inquired but I bet 90 out the door.

The problem with that molding is that it's positioned way too low. My Vibe has molding located even higher than that, and all but 2 of my dings have hit a good 4-5" ABOVE the molding. Worthless stuff if it's in the wrong place!
