Disabling Traction Control

2011 Yaris 3dr LB base model. 5spd. Anyone know how to disable traction control? Is there a fuse or something? I know the S model has a switch...

There is a multi step procedure that works on my 2010. When you shut the car off TC is set back on again. I only use it in the winter if I have a tough hill to climb without a running start. See:

your trac light should then come on and will turn off when u turn the car off..so u gotta do this every time you start the car. if you start the car and wait over a min, u will have to turn off car and start over. if you screw up the sequence, just turn the car off and start over.
This? Seems like a nintendo cheat code. Guess there's no way to permanently disable it? I mean come on, the car has 100hp, not 300 like my STi that didn't have traction control.

i kinda think it's badass that we have to remember a "cheat code" to disable it...that said I just wish I could actually REMEMBER it, hence why I'm looking it up yet again today, lol.

that is why i am glad i bought the first model year, no traction control, no abs, no nannies whatsoever. Although from reviews they are finally coming out with tc and nannies that don't destroy driving entertainment.

I used to hate all of the electronic safeties...but they've actually come in handy a few times. It's nice to know that it's there in wet weather. If I want to break traction on purpose I can just do the cheat code ;)
