I would go with the JVC because it prolly has a better noise ratio then the Jensen. The Jensen deck runs 70 db which is horrible. I have ran Jensen for years and they are quality decks, but the only thing that is lacking is the noise ratio. I will be going with a Panasonic most likely when I get mine. Also I would suggest an online store because you will get lots of extras like wiring harness, dash adapters, speaker adapters, and lots of model specific instructions.

does the yaris have a double DIN? I've been trying to find out for weeks. I have asked probably a dozen times and have not been able to confirm it. i also see that people on here are choosing roof-mounts as opposed to in-dash so i imagine it's not even 2-DIN.

Yup Yarii has double DIN. I'll be installing this soon. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=17995 hope that helps answer your question.

I put a downpayment at one of the local stores in SF that's gonna install it for me. They're selling it for $999.99 to me as the introductory promotion sale from Pioneer. They price I'm getting my set for includes installation and all the hardware needed so I'm pretty satisfied with the price I will have to pay. All I have to do now is stop all that stupid plastic interior pieces from rattling so much!!!! ><

that is pretty cheap for an avic system.
i couldn't afford the one i wanted so i bought an eclipse AVN for $1500 (retail was over $1800) and managed to install it myself in my subaru. can't believe how much the prices have dropped apparently. |

3 hours. If you know whats up it should be in and working well below 2. I hope you bought a wiring harness because that will shave a crap ton off your install time. Not to mention cleaner and easier to remove. I would give 15 minutes for dash tear down and stock HU removal. Then about another 30-45 splicing the aftermarket one to the wiring harness (that you should buy) and then maybe another 30 minutes putting the aftermarket one in. Thats including running the TV antenna if it comes with one.
