What age are people here? Curious what age group is buying this car.

I'm 18 and looking for something that's affordable to get me to and from work, and has some style to it. I've seen good press about the Yaris (in Europe and Japan) for a while now so glad they brought it here.

I'm 31 and bought the yaris for the daily commute. Its been getting some good press here in Australia too. So Toyota might just have a winner in their hands.

Cool so this car just came out in Australia too? Which versions do they offer and what do you have?

yup, it was officially launched on oct05 at the sydney international motor show. ours was delived on 22nov05 and have been driving it since. the model ranges from the low-specced 1.3ltr YR to the mid-specced 1.5ltr YRS to the high-specced 1.5ltr YRX. All are available in 3- or 5-door models. Ours is the 5-door YRS model. Here's a pic:

31...

I always loved the look and power/weight/economy ratio of the JDM Vitz (Gran Turismo), and the TRD options that are available for the Vitz...
My 2006 Yaris RS replaced my 2004 Echo (Vitz) Hatch RS...

Cheers

People of all ages buy the Yaris. The oldest Yaris owner I have met is in his 60s.
Having seen the above pictures, I wish to congratulate the one who has bought echo_hrs' old car.

I'm 53. My first "small car" was a '71 Pinto (LOL). I've never owned an eight cylinder car.
