turbo fitment/tight space?
I got a question for you Boosted guys.
How painful is it to get to the turbo and all the oil lines when its installed? Do you guys go from the bottom or do you take the wiper motor cowl off and work from up top? Of course depending what you need to do depends if you go from top or bottom. I ask cuz I'm a little indecisive if I wanna run a turbo on the yaris. I rather have the exhaust side up front when dealing with turbos. Does anyone have any good pictures of the fire wall side where a turbo setup is installed. I know it fits and there is no question about that. I am more concerned about repair, maintence and upgrading in the future. Getting a wrench in there and stuff. |

You have to remove the wiper cowl and tray underneath it. So parts you need to install under the car but the majority of the work is done from the top. I took the turbo apart because it makes it a lot easier to install and get the fittings tightened all the way. Heres a pic of the turbo and firewall.

I say its more precautionary since it's so close to the ECU, my Boomslang harness, and other wires. When I get some time I'm gonna pull off the manifold and downpipe to get them ceramic coated.
