Used factory head-unit, anti-theft security question
Hi folks,
My factory head unit doesn't have an AUX input for my iphone and I am able to get one pretty cheaply off eBay. The reason I am 'upgrading' to a factory HU is because i want to retain my steering wheel control at little expense. The alternative is I could use an after market head unit buy I would have to buy a kit to keep the steering wheel controls working which is way more expensive than a replacement factory HU. My question is, how does the anti-theft security work and how can I make sure the HU I am looking to buy will not be 'bricked' or whatever? I had a quick search on the forums but couldn't find the answer. Thanks |
