Wat lol no its not. the car is not designed for girls but for fuel economy. who choose to drive it the most is up to the general population. it was not made for any1 gender or age group but only for the soul purpose fuel ec and cost.
I find that this thread has gone way beyond useful and its dividing us. Just like black and white people we are...People. same here we are yaris owners! Lets not get petty with it. Poop, Mad Dog and camelll chill out man. I kno you feel strongly about your view but lets not attack other members or belittle there opinions. It was all fun and games in the begining but now it going to far. ::Logs off in shame:: |

This is so funny. Everyone sounds like children in here. It seems like when ever anyone states their opinion, somebody has to down them. The Yaris is the slowest car I have ever owned...who cares! It is also the cheapest. I love the gas mileage, however, and thought the sedan would be the better of the two for my lifestyle. I have a manual transmission. I wonder how many people in here can drive a maunual? Hey, maybe we can start a arguement about that!!!

5door Hatchback here! <33333
And we call it the Yaris Hatchback (as is proper) here in Canada.

Woof gotta hate flame wars...
Let me voice my opinion before the thread gets locked... I own a LB 3 door MT, I'm 33, work full time, and go to college. I bought the LB because I have always loved hot hatches. After I wrecked my Mitsu Mirage (an anemic auto 4 door sedan), I was determined to get a manual hatchback. I did some research and found a website that would help you find a car by using different criteria. (fuel efficiency and reliability were my top picks) It recommended the LB Yaris and showed a profile picture of it. One look and I was hooked! It is so unique looking! Someone on this thread said the sedan looked like a little Camry, but that's a negative for me. Camrys are everywhere, and generic sedan shapes are just not appealing to me. After the site suggested the Yaris LB, I researched it and found YW and other sites that showed what a tuner following it had in Japan and other countries. I figure the good gas mileage would be great for now when I'm a poor college student, and later when I get a job as a systems analyst, I'll mod the shit outta it! (I might get something else for a DD, and use my Yaris as a toy) Whatever the case may be, I love the LB and would never buy a sedan. Just IMHO...

I drive a LB. Partly because I like the look better, partly because I don't really use the back seat, but mostly because I didn't fit comfortably in the 2007 (year I bought by car) sedan. I'm 6'5" tall, and there simply wasn't enough room in the '07 sedan. The '09 seems to have more front legroom.

i never saw the point of the sedan. the way many of them are packaged, they are coming way to close to the corolla price. there is no argument about "uniqeness" w/ the sedan, and there is no real mileage argument to be had vs a corolla. i guess if you really need a trunk and want to spend under $15k.
the lb, on the other hand, does have a unique look and the benefits of a hatch. i would venture to say that if toyota had offered the 4 dr hatch from the get go, there are a fair number of sedan drivers that would have gone that way. |

Many countries got the 5-ddor LB before the States, and many never got the sedan. I guess Toyota was doing what they thought the American market wanted. Too bad that appears to have been the wrong decision up until 2009...
