Cusco Comp-S Coilovers on their way!!!
Well guys it looks as though I've secured a set of Cusco Comp-S coilovers, the only pair in the country right now from Cusco USA.
Once I receive them, which I assume will be on Friday at the earliest, I will be searching for someone local in Socal to lend us their vehicle for a couple of days so that we can test fit this suspension. Cusco is not giving us this for free, matter of fact it's at our normal pricing. What I am offering is a discounted price to anyone that would like to do this plus free installation by us. Now of course it will be subject to sales tax as well, we can't get around Uncle Sam and have no intentions of trying. For those that are not familiar with this line of coilovers, here is the rundown: It is an entry level coilover designed for a more aggresive stance and increased handling. This is perfect for daily driving and some spirited corner carving. The ride height is adjustable and the dampers are very high quality. I personally have used Cusco suspension before and have been very happy. Dampening is preset to the spring rate, this kit for the Yaris does not include upper mounts though, stock ones will need to be used. I will look into aftermarket upper mounts in time, I know Cusco sells them so I just need to be clear on compatibility. Retail for these are $1230.00. Spring rates are F:7k, R:3k. I will post a thread with pictures and a step by step installation review. For liability purposes I'll let the owner of the vehicle drive the heck out of it. If anyone in the southern California area wants to lend me their Yaris on a Friday and pick it up on Monday please email me at john@bulletproofautomotive.com I know you guys want some coilovers, well here we go. -john *edit* here are the pics, i didn't know i made them so large, i'll resize them later to make it a little easier to view but for those of you wanting detail, you've got it Last edited by BulletProofAuto; 09-02-2006 at 11:19 PM. |

Just a shade under 2600 miles... 39 hours or driving, about 10 tanks of gas...

How about you bring in some HKS S-Comps ? I'd be all over those : )
I'll call you tomorrow though about the Cusco's... what I really need is the upper camber plates though :( and I'll be at the track this Sunday, so unless you're willing to let me install them on Sat. and drive on Sunday, It'll have to wait until next week. |

i received the kit yesterday afternoon. i'm actually looking at them right now and I'll have some pics up within the hour. let me say that the most noticeable aspect of these are the quality. they are heavy duty and thick, but not heavy. cusco's quality is very apparent in these and i look forward to making many yaris drivers happy.

I just got back from visiting Bulletproof, they have some of the coolest rare parts all in one place WOW!
Thanks John for showing me around and taking the time. The Cuscos look great and I'd love to pick them up if no one else picks them up this week! I picked up a copy of the Hyper-rev book and highly recommend EVERYONE check it out :) |
